What it does
Spam Call Screener & Blocker: Free Grok Bot to Screen and Block Lending and Robocall Spam is a free Grok bot template. Free Grok Bot to stop spam calls: sets up call screening and blocking on your phone, carrier and business line, and drafts stop and complaint requests.
Once you add it to Grok Bot, it runs as your own AI agent: it asks a few setup questions, connects the services it needs, and then works through its routines on a schedule, logging every action in an activity tracker so you can always see what it did and what is waiting on you.
Who it's for
Small business owners, sales pros, real estate and insurance professionals, freelancers and families whose phones are flooded with lending, MCA, warranty and robocall spam.
No coding is required. If you can chat with Grok, you can run this bot: describe your goals in plain English, review what it drafts, and adjust the instructions any time.
Features
Sets up the call screening and blocking built into your phone, carrier and business line.
Builds an allow list so customers, leads, family and doctors still get through.
Writes screening greetings for voicemail, auto-attendants and AI receptionists.
Reviews your weekly call log, spots repeat spam patterns and suggests blocks.
Drafts internal do-not-call stop requests and prepares Do Not Call, FTC and FCC reports for you to file.
Logs every action to an activity-tracker CSV.
HOW TO USE: First message: when you open the bot it greets you with: "Hi!
I help you cut spam calls with the screening and blocking tools on your phone, carrier and business line, while real customers still get through.
Which phone or line is getting the most spam calls right now, and what kind of calls are they?" Ask: "I get 10+ business loan spam calls a day on my iPhone, but I can't miss new customer calls".
You get: Plan for your iPhone and carrier: turn on call screening for unknown callers (it asks for name and reason before ringing), turn on your carrier's free spam filter, keep customers ringing by adding them to Contacts and putting your website and text-us line in your voicemail greeting.
Silence Unknown Callers skipped because new leads call you.
Ask: "Write a screening greeting for my business line".
You get: Draft: 'Thanks for calling.
Please say your name, company and why you're calling.
Customers, you can also text this number for the fastest reply.' Plus an auto-attendant version (press 1 for service, 2 for billing, sales calls please email) and rules for an AI receptionist to end lending pitches politely.
Ask: "Review this week's call log".
You get: 42 unknown calls: 31 spam (19 business-funding, 6 warranty, 6 neighbor-spoofed numbers matching your prefix), 9 real (2 new leads).
Suggested 14 blocks; drafted stop requests for 3 named lenders that call daily.
Logged in calls.csv.
Ask: "Can it keep these lending guys on the phone for hours?".
You get: I won't do that: it can cross into harassment, recording it without consent can break state law, and engaging tells their dialers your number is live, so you get more calls.
Faster fix: screen unknown callers, block repeat numbers, demand they add you to their internal do-not-call list, and I'll prepare an FTC or FCC report for any that keep calling.

Setup steps for Spam Call Screener & Blocker: Free Grok Bot to Screen and Block Lending and Robocall Spam
1
Install: download this template from this page (or click 'Add to Grok Bot' if shown) and import it into Grok Bot as a new bot, or paste its instructions into a new bot. No code or API keys needed.
2
Say 'Let's get started.' It asks a few setup questions, one at a time.
3
Tell it which lines you want protected (mobile, business line, Google Voice or office system), your phone model and carrier, and who must always get through.
4
Follow its step-by-step settings for your phone, your carrier's free spam tool and your business line, starting with the allow list.
5
Each week, share your call log or screenshots; approve the blocks, stop requests and any Do Not Call, FTC or FCC report it prepares for you to file.
6
It creates its activity tracker /workspace/trackers/spam-call-screener-blocker.csv (date,item,action,status,url,waiting_on,next_action,next_due,notes).
7
First prompts to try: "I get 10+ business loan spam calls a day on my iPhone, but I can't miss new customer calls" | "Write a screening greeting for my business line"
8
Day to day: say 'status' for open items, 'next' to do the next due item, or 'pause' to stop scheduled work.
Can it answer spam calls and keep them on the line for hours?
No. Wasting callers' time can turn into harassment, recording calls without the consent your state requires is illegal in some states, and engaging tells autodialers your number is live, which means more calls. It screens, blocks and helps you report instead, which actually lowers the call volume.
Will I miss real calls from customers?
Not if you set the allow list first. It adds important callers to your contacts or allow list, puts a fast text or web option in your greeting, and explains the trade-off of each setting, such as screening unknown callers instead of silencing them so new leads can still reach you.
Does the Do Not Call Registry help with business loan calls?
Partly. The National Do Not Call Registry mainly protects personal and mobile numbers, and business-to-business calls have fewer protections. But any company that telemarkets has to honor a request to add you to its own internal do-not-call list, so the bot drafts those stop requests and logs them for reports if they keep calling.
How is this different from the Robocall & Do-Not-Call Complaint Builder?
This bot is about stopping calls before they reach you: phone and carrier screening, blocking, business-line greetings, allow lists and weekly log reviews. The complaint builder focuses on documenting violations and drafting detailed FTC and FCC complaints. Many people use both.
Will it act without asking me?
No. It drafts and proposes; nothing is sent, posted, filed, bought, booked, cancelled or deleted until you approve it.
Is my data shared anywhere?
No. Files stay in the bot's own workspace, you sign in to your own accounts, and it never stores passwords.
