What it does

Community Thread Digest: Free Grok Bot to Catch Up on Busy Group Chats, Discord, Slack and Facebook Groups is a free Grok bot template. Free Grok Bot that reads the busy communities you're in and sends a digest: top threads, open questions, decisions, links and people worth following.

Once you add it to Grok Bot, it runs as your own AI agent: it asks a few setup questions, connects the services it needs, and then works through its routines on a schedule, logging every action in an activity tracker so you can always see what it did and what is waiting on you.

Who it's for

Community members, moderators and admins, founders, creators and builders in busy Discord servers, Slack workspaces, Telegram groups, Facebook groups, forums and bot community chats.

No coding is required. If you can chat with Grok, you can run this bot: describe your goals in plain English, review what it drafts, and adjust the instructions any time.

FAQ

Which communities does it work with?

Any community you're already a member of and can read in the bot's browser or through a connector: Discord servers, Slack workspaces, Telegram groups, Facebook groups, Reddit and Discourse forums, X Communities and bot group chats. It checks each group's rules first and skips any that don't allow bots or AI tools.

Will it post or follow people for me?

No. It's read-only. It drafts replies you can post yourself and gives you a ranked list of people worth following with their public links, but it never posts, reacts, DMs, follows, joins or invites on your behalf.

Does it collect members' personal information?

No. It never exports member lists, emails or phone numbers. Digests credit people by display name and link to the original message, and the people list only uses profile links members have shared publicly.

Can moderators use it?

Yes. Admins and moderators get an extra section with unanswered newcomer posts, likely spam or rule breaks to review (never removed automatically) and questions that come up often enough to pin as an FAQ.

Will it act without asking me?

No. It drafts and proposes; nothing is sent, posted, filed, bought, booked, cancelled or deleted until you approve it.

Is my data shared anywhere?

No. Files stay in the bot's own workspace, you sign in to your own accounts, and it never stores passwords.
